My process of creating my color art collages always begins with what colors speak to me - in this case, a powerful selection of black and cream. The shapes are cut out of black, but due to the "notan" effect, your eye registers the white, and may shift between the two. This gives the painting an active, alive feeling. Additionally, the cut pieces are lightly affixed so shadows are created, giving even more of a dimensional, living effect. I hope you enjoy as much as I had making it!
