WHAT DO YOU GET WITH YOUR ORDER?
Our fold-over kids thank you cards are sized at 5.5” x 4.25” and have blank inside card panels where your child can compose their handwritten messages of appreciation. One-of-a-kind designs created by independent artists are printed on smooth-to-the-touch cottony stationery. Each card comes complete with a classic white envelope. If you wish, you can upgrade the coloring of the envelope to eye-catching options like antique rose, cloud blue, navy, and spruce, to name a few. Customize your card order to reflect the number of guests you anticipate attending your child’s party, or simply place a larger order so you can have excess thank you notes that can be sent for future occasions. Our minimum order is just 15 cards, which can be adjusted in increments of 10. For added design excellence, look for some of our designs that include metallic foil elements. These selections will be called out with a “real foil, see it shine” tag below them. Adjust the foil coloring to be printed in gold, silver, rose gold, silver glitter, and other uniquely reflective colors.
SELECT FROM FUN & POPULAR THEMES
Minted’s designs are consistently being updated with fresh on-trend styles. Through online design challenges regularly hosted on our site, we collect unique design submissions from our community of independent artists spanning the globe. Over half of these artists are parents themselves, so you can bet that they have hosted a themed birthday party or two and have a good understanding of cute features to incorporate into children’s stationery. Easily sort through our wide collection of styles and designs with our easy-to-use filters located at the top of the page. Whether hosting a pool party with a mermaid theme, a rustic outdoor event with a petting zoo, or a galactic space adventure for future astronauts, we have thank you cards for kids to stay on theme! Take a look below at a handful of popular themes:
- Unicorn cards: From unicorn inflatable pool toys to rainbow-color desserts and cupcakes, it’s clear that this children’s theme is well-received and here to stay. We have an assortment of unicorn thank you cards featuring pastel pinks, blues, purples, and greens that can complement your other party decor and act as a fun reminder of your birthday theme.
- Dinosaur cards: Children have been enthralled with the T-Rex and Stegosaurus for decades. If hosting a party for a group of miniature paleontologists, consider some of our thank you card designs that picture dinosaurs with birthday caps on their heads!
- Zoo Animal cards: Cute fuzzy animals capture everyone’s attention, no matter the age. Browse through our selection of cards featuring llamas, sloths, toucans, and tigers. Compose clever text that is in-line with your card’s wild theme like, “I couldn’t BEAR to go another day without thanking you” or “I enjoyed MONKEYING around with you at my party!”
- Princess & Fairy Tale cards: Sort through cards depicting castles, tiaras, princess carriages, and wizard hats. We even have a kids’ photo thank you card design where you can upload a picture of your little princess surrounded by gold foil pixie dust. Help them feel as magical as they truly are!
- Floral cards: Perfect for a spring or summer correspondence, our floral designs capture the beautiful color displayed in roses, dandelions, and hibiscus. Consider even including a dried flower sealed in your note of gratitude. Let your child pick the flower!
No matter the reason behind the mailing of your child’s thank you note, we are sure you will find a style you like on Minted. A format featuring your kid’s picture is always a great idea, as family members that may live further away will appreciate seeing their favorite cousin, niece, nephew, or grandchild on the front of a card. Encourage your child to pick out the photo they wish to appear on the card!
LET YOUR CHILD COMPOSE THEIR OWN THANK YOU WORDING
Allow your child to take the reins when it comes to composing the text that appears on their thank you card. It will allow them to work on their penmanship and spelling, as well as develop valuable skills in accurately relaying their gratitude for a gift. A handwritten note from your child will be much more appreciated and well-received by the recipient than one written by a parent, even if the message is simple and short. Advise children to practice writing their message on a scrap piece of paper first before finalizing their card. This will allow them to catch spelling errors and accurately organize their thoughts. Below are a couple of themes to help steer your child in the right direction as to what to talk about in their composition.
- How have they used or plan to use their new gift?
- What do they like about their gift (color, size, pattern, etc.)
- What did they enjoy about their birthday party, holiday, graduation? Have them detail a few fun events that took place.
- If your child is artistic, encourage them to draw a doodle to add some visual character to their thank you message. Carry a party theme forward by having them sketch a picture of a dinosaur, zoo animal, or unicorn.
PERSONALIZATION MADE EASY
Personalizing thank you cards for kids has never been so easy. In less than 15 minutes you can adjust a design's color palette, edit the greeting, and add a personal image to finalize a completely custom look! Sit alongside your child to let them direct the end look of their card and take some ownership in the design. Below we have outlined a few elements that can be customized:
- Pick a Color Arrangement: Trust our experienced eye and choose to have your design featured in a curated list of color combinations. As you select different pairings, you will immediately see a rendering of the new color scheme.
- Upload an Image: Feature your child’s adorable smile front and center! Easily upload a personal image and choose to apply filters such as black and white or sepia which might pair nicely with the surrounding elements on the card. We have quite a collection of kids photo thank you cards to choose from. Feature up to four images in a variety of arrangements.
- Free Address Labeling: If you already know the recipients you will be sending your kids thank you cards to, take advantage of our free recipient address labeling service. Upload your addresses to your Minted account and select a styled recipient address look, and we will professionally print each address on the envelope for you!
SCENARIOS WHEN TO USE YOUR CARDS
The younger a child is, the more likely close friends and family will want to shower them with gifts. Have your thank you cards ready to go for events like
- Birthdays
- Christmas/Holidays
- First Communion, baptism, and other religious milestones.
- School graduations
CARD ETIQUETTE
Common thank you card etiquette is to send your notes of gratitude as soon as possible after receiving your gifts. We recommend trying to get your cards in the mail within a week of your child opening their gifts. This is why you should plan to order your kid’s thank you cards in advance of a party. To help keep your child organized and remind them who gifted each gift, consider writing down each gift and the coordinated gift-giver as your child opens their presents. The list can then be used as a checklist as your child begins to write their thank-yous.
