About the work

I am always captivated by the urban patterns and fabrics. In New York city, I saw an abundance of them, on every street, every corner. The image that stayed with me the most was that of the fire escape staircases, which sometimes cast interesting shadows on the commonly seen brick walls. This black and white photograph captures that image that I love about NYC.
