This whimsical mug is made on the potter's wheel in stoneware. The stripes are hand painted in underglaze and the whole piece is glazed in a transparent opalescent glaze that results in a dripping effect. The subtle crackle effect is the nature of the transparent glaze. It makes a special gift or a piece for everyday use.
