Part of a series of three paintings of iridescent beetles. These paintings were inspired by my three-year-old son, who loves bugs and all things colorful. Inspired by impressionism, the paintings feature large strokes of color when viewed up close, but look realistic when viewed from a distance. Acrylic on paper.
