This painting started out as a hand painted spring landscape. Inspired by my time in North Carolina. Part of my process is seeking different points of view when painting. I had completed this piece actually in blues and greens. But then something said why not play with color. From a spring landscape it went to a hot summer night instead. Although I am offering the first version as well! Evening comes with a sunset dipping beyond the hills with a burst of light before it says good night. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed making it come to life.
