About the work

A digitally illustrated charcoal drawing, using the eraser tool to define the lines and give natural texture. This piece is part of a series of black and white animal portraits. Zebra populations are shrinking because of habitat loss from human encroachment, livestock, agricultural practices as well as hunting.
