There is nothing quite like the beauty, color and texture of birch bark. It has a chic, earthy quality that is unique and simply stunning. As a young girl, I remember long walks with my grandmother, collecting birch bark pieces, and then using them as "paper" to create artwork on. The details in this piece, which my husband found several years ago, were particularly captivating to me, and I was compelled to capture it's artistic essence.
