About the work

My favored technique with watercolor is the wet-on-wet approach which conjures up spontaneous mixing of colors directly on the canvas. In this piece, a misty yet saturated landscape rises up from the canvas hinting at bursts of natural light and leveraging contrasts to draw in the viewer.
