Threshold is part of a larger body of work - The Chasing the Light Collection. Within the collection my goal was to capture the feeling of transformation and self-reflection. The layers progress during the timeline of the collection. Beginning by barely overlapping, then emerging into one another before combining and becoming unified. A symbol of growth and change. The process of a perspective shift and healing. I used deep ocean blues that were meditational and calming. Weaving water into my work, captivated by the healing properties it contains both as a necessity in life and the way it guides me as I paint with it. I hope this painting brings you a feeling of elation and lightheartedness because this is what I wish to convey in my work. .
