About this Painting:
Today when I finally felt this painting was complete, I was in a great mood. The weather was unusually warmer for late February and the sun was shining. The mask mandate was being lifted in many states and maybe we were really getting a handle on covid. I love this color palette and all the movement!

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting. The end result should be a painting that will spiritually and emotionally elevate us. less
