Vicissitudes I is the first of a pair of photographs that work well together or make a striking statement on their own. The surf and all its mesmerizing shapes offer constant inspiration to most photographers. I was drawn to the beautiful movement and patterns of the sea in this shot, exactly the kind of beach waves made for strolling along the sand. Vicissitudes II is a more intimate look at the surf and offers an abstract take on the Atlantic. Both photos were taken on Navarre Beach in Portugal.
